At the time of crisis, everybody poured in wishes for the safety of Odisha and Akshay Kumar on Tuesday donated Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for relief and rehabilitation of the state.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was last seen in blockbuster hit movie ‘Kesari’.

Akshay Kumar first made news after he took a “non-political” and “candid” interview of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Although, after that Kumar was in the limelight for all the controversial reasons. Be it it the ‘Canadian’ passport he holds and his ineligibility to vote in Lok Sabha elections.

Subsequently came the trolls and then a video went viral wherein the actor can be seen saying, “Toronto is my home and I will come here after getting retired from my industry.” It’s actually an old video, but it became widely popular after the citizenship row.

However, Kumar has yet again donated to the needy and played his part to provide relief to the state. A donation of Rs 1 Crore has been made from Kumar to Odisha’s Chief Minister’s relief fund for rehabilitation of the state.

This is not the first time, Kumar extended monetary support when Kerala Floods or Chennai Floods hugely devastated the state.

While millions of people were evacuated from coastal regions, Cyclone Fani still managed to take lives of as many as 34 people.
