The budget session of Parliament has started from today. The session started with the address of Joint Session from President Ramnath Kovind. In his address President Ramnath Kovind appreciated the work of the Central Government and highlighted the work being done for the development of the country. Let’s know 20 big things about the president’s address so far. 

President Ramnath Kovind said, there is concern about the continuous election, due to the continuous​election in some part of the country. With repeated elections, the burden on human resources increases, the implementation of the code of conduct also impedes the development process of the country. Therefore, discussion and dialogue should be discussed on the issue of holding elections together and consent should be made between all political parties. In 2022, when our country celebrates 75 years of independence, achieving these goals will not only fulfill the dreams of freedom fighters and nation-makers, but also strengthen the foundation of new India. The dream of a new India is not of any political party or organization. It reflects the aspirations of 130 million people of the country. To fulfill this dream, we all have to work together with complete dedication

2. ‘Bhima App’ plays a big role in promoting digital transactions. More than 100 public utilities have been made available on mobile by recently launched ‘Umang App’. Government is running the world’s largest digital literacy program under the Prime Minister Rural Digital Literacy Campaign. Under this program, so far, 10 million people have been digitally educated.

3. India’s ambitious space program, national development and regional and international collaboration is achieving new achievements. For the first time in the world, ISRO successfully launched 104 satellites at one go.

4. President Ramnath Kovind told that Kumbh Mela has been included in UNESCO’s list of ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’. Ahmedabad has been ranked as the first ‘Heritage City’ by UNESCO. UNESCO has ranked Chennai as the list of Creative Cities.

5. Government has increased the minimum wage of workers by more than 40 percent. The number of registers has been reduced from 56 to 5 for adhering to labor laws. Now all the returns on the labor facility portal are filled online. Industry or companies that are creating new opportunities for jobs are being provided financial assistance under ‘Prime Minister’s Employment Incentive Scheme’. More than 20 lakh beneficiaries have received help from this scheme.

6. India is the youngest country in the world. For this, the youth of the country can fulfill their dreams and make self-employment, for this, the government is running programs such as start up India, stand up India, skill India mission, money scheme. The active government is working on creating 20 ‘Institutes of Emmen’ in the country for the bright future of youth. Under this mission, financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 crores will be given to selected educational institutions. The government has approved the formation of an autonomous exam organization, ‘National Tasting Agency’ for organizing all the examinations of higher education institutions in the country.

7. To increase the availability of doctors, 13 thousand seats of MBBS and more than 7,000 posts of Post Graduate have been approved. In order to ensure quality and transparency in medical education, the government has also introduced ‘National Medical Commission Bill’ in the Lok Sabha.

8. Government has created a new ‘National Health Policy’ for the poor and middle class people for better and affordable healthcare. Under ‘Deendayal Amrit Yojana’, a concession of more than 5,200 life-saving branded medicines and surgical implants is being given from 60 percent to 90 percent through 111 outlets. 800 types of medicines are being given to the poor at cheaper rates through ‘Prime Minister’s Pharmaceuticals’ centers. The number of these centers has reached 3,000.

9. With the sensitive thinking of the government, the government is working on making the house available to every disabled poor family by 2022, with the help of sanitation facilities. In the last three and a half years, more than 93 lakh houses have been constructed in urban and rural areas. Under the ‘Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana- Urban’, 6 percent interest rate is being given to the poor to build their house.

10. Keeping in mind the purpose of empowerment of women, without the male relatives for the first time after independence, the restriction of women going to the Hajj for more than 45 years has been removed. More than 1,300 women are going to Hajj without merit this year.

11. There are more than two and a half million people in the country. The government has enforced the ‘Divyanjanjan Rule Act 2016’. Divisions have been made for 4% in government jobs and 5% for higher education. In the last one year more than 45 lakh students have been given the benefit of scholarship, fellowship, skill development and coaching schemes.

12. It is mandatory for every poor to get enough food, for this to make the purpose of law effective. Under the National Food Security Act, the provision of giving foodgrains at affordable rates to all the states of the country is being made transparent and leakage proof.

13. Under the ‘India Net Project’, work of connecting 2.5 million Gram Panchayats of the country with broadband connectivity is being done. More than one lakh panchayats have been added in the first phase. About 2 lakh 70 thousand Common Service Centers have been built across the country, which are also delivering digital delivery of different services in remote areas of the country at cheaper rates.

14. The Government is committed to doubling the income of the farmers by 2022. The work of linking the country’s agricultural markets online is in progress for the farmers to get the fair value of their produce, so far the agri commodities have been traded on eNAM for more than 36,000 crores. In order to increase the income of the farmers, an ambitious scheme has been started in the dairy sector through the ‘Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund’ of 11,000 crores.

15. After three lawsuits on divorce, Muslim sisters and daughters will be able to live a fearless life with self esteem. My government started the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Practice’ scheme to end discrimination with daughters. Given the positive results of this scheme, it has now been increased from 161 districts to 640 districts.

16. Our fight against corruption continues. In the last one year, about 350,000 suspicious companies have been canceled. The government is also committed to strengthening the banking system and bringing transparency in it. It has also been decided to re-capitalization of public sector banks with capital investment of more than Rs. 2 lakh crores.

17. Inflation rate, current account deficit and fiscal deficit have declined in the last three and a half years. Foreign exchange reserves went above US $ 410 billion in the year 2017 Due to the effective policies of my government, FDI has also increased from US $ 36 billion to US $ 60 billion during the last three years.

18. The beginning of Chabahar Port is a historic event. The first shipments of wheat have been sent to Afghanistan through this port. This year, there has also been a beginning of the aerial corridor between India and Afghanistan, in which the movement of freight has been started.

19. After joining the Missile Technology Control Regime last year, India has been included in the Wassenar Arrangement and Australia Group as a member this year. This success has been achieved after a long struggle and it is an important achievement of my government.

20 .The Government has paid outstanding amount of more than Rs. 10,000 crores to more than 2 million retired soldiers while fulfilling their promise of ‘One Rank One Pension’. The policy related to strategic partnership in the defense manufacturing sector has also been finalized. This will lead to greater participation of private sector and job creation in the construction of major defense platforms and equipments.
