The results of polling for 74 municipalities of Gujarat will come today. Counting of votes started from 8 a.m. Of the 75 municipalities in the state, BJP has won 44 seats while the Congress has occupied 27 municipalities. 

The results of this time have been a shock to the BJP. 15 municipal Congress has snatched away from BJP. Consequently BJP has won 44 out of 44 municipalities and Congress has won in 27 seats. 3 Independent candidates in the municipality have won. BJP has won two of the Amreli 3 municipalities and a municipality has gone in the Congress account.

In Rajula Nagarika, Congress wiped out BJP. Congress has won 18. BJP occupied Dwarka municipality, BJP won 15 seats. BJP has won 16 seats in Sanand. In Valsar, BJP has won a thorn and a fight in the Congress. Here both parties got 14-14 seats.

In 6 of the 6 municipalities of Junagadh, Congress is ahead in BJP and 6. BJP has won after Taskakshi in Taljaq. BJP got 16 seats and Congress got 12 seats. Of the 12 in the sublease, 10 have gone to the BJP’s account whereas the Congress is the legislator here. In Talaja, Congress and BJP are being considered for a thorn of thorns. Here the Congress is ahead in 12 and BJP 11 seats. Of the 28 seats in the business, BJP and Congress got 8-8 seats. Mehmoodabad is ahead in 11 BJP and Congress 9 seats.

Let us tell you that the election for 75 municipalities of Gujarat was to be held but the uncontested candidate was elected in a municipality. Jaffarabad constituency of Amreli district has declared victory of BJP without any voting. No candidate has filed a nomination against them.

From the BJP in the elections of 1934, the Congress had 1783 candidates in the fray. 1793 Independent candidates were also in the electoral fray. A total of 2763 polling stations were set up for these elections, out of which 530 were declared as sensing and 95 highly sensitive. More than 15,000 polling personnel were put in election duty.

BJP won 107 seats in the elections held in 123 municipalities of Gujarat in 2016. But the party’s performance in this time of assembly elections has not been good even though it managed to keep the key of the state’s power in its own right, but for the first time in 22 years, Congress had given a tough fight to the BJP.
