Pune, Maharashtra: In an interaction with students of various institutions, Rahul Gandhi said, “I love our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, no matter how the person is but it’s not the other way round. There is a difference.”

Congress president Rahul Gandhi addressing a public event in Pune on Friday said, “I love PM Modi but it’s not the other way round.”

“I love our Prime Minister Narendra Modi…no matter how the person is… but it’s not the other way round. There is a difference…,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi said he has seen a lot of violence since his childhood. “My grandmother was killed, my father was killed and no one can benefit from violence,” he said.

This is not the first time Rahul Gandhi expressed his liking for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In an amusing event last year in August, during a debate on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi had said the same and later walked up to PM Modi and hugged him.

He had said the BJP may hate him but he does not harbor any hate for the PM or the BJP.

Maximum Age For Poll Ticket: Congress 60, BJP 75-Yrs-Old

In his speech in Pune on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi also advocated that politicians should retire at the age of 60. His statement comes a day after the recent announcement BJP president Amit Shah, who said that his party will not give Lok Sabha poll tickets to those above 75 years of age.

Who Will Be Heroine In Rahul’s Biopic?

During the event, Marathi actor Subodh Bhave asked Rahul Gandhi who will be the heroine in his biopic. To this, he said, “Unfortunately I am wedded to my work…so I can’t suggest on this point it’s work, work and work.”

Modi Slogans Erupt At The Congress Event

Slogans in favour of PM Modi were raised at the event after Congress chief said, “I love PM.”

Some students started sloganeering ‘Modi, Modi’ when Mr. Gandhi said that he had no hatred for anyone including the Prime Minister.

“No problem,” he said as the students continued to raise the slogans.

Gandhi then talked about the state of the economy, unemployment job creation, demonetization and about his party’s promise to give Rs 72,000 per year to the poor of the country at the event, reported ANI.
