Gwalior: The Madhya Pradesh High Court said that the Central and State Governments should avoid using Dalit term in their correspondence because the word has not been used in the Constitution. A bench of Justice Sanjay Yadav and Justice Ashok Kumar Joshi, hearing the petition filed by Mohanlal Mahor, a social worker living in Gwalior, said that he has no doubt that government employees should not use this word.

Not mentioned in the Constitution
The bench said in this case, “Since the petitioner could not bring any document published by the Central Government, the officials of the State Government, where it has been said that instead of the word Scheduled Caste, scheduled tribes, the word Dalit should be used instead. Therefore, we are not in favor of any interference. ”

The bench said that although we have no doubt that the Central Government, the State Government and its personnel should avoid the use of Dalit term for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes members because the word dalit does not get mentioned in the Constitution or any law . The petitioner’s lawyer, Jitendra Sharma, told that the court had pronounced this verdict on January 15.

Let us tell you that nowadays every event is seen in connection with caste perspective. If a Dalit is involved in the incident, then less emphasis is placed on the incident, more emphasis is placed on the word Dalit. The status is that such governments are also doing this only. Keeping these things in mind, this issue was raised in the High Court.
