Lok Sabha Elections 2019: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday tagged several famous Indian personalities from mediapersons to sportsmens and actors, seeking only one request to all: “encourage voting” this 2019 national elections.

Among the people tagged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi were also opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav and many more, asking them to “encourage increased voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. A high turnout augurs well for our democratic fabric”.

There were sportsmen, too, in the list from Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Anil Kumble, Geeta Phogat, Virender Sehwag and many more.

In actors, he tagged Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Manoj Bajpayee and many more.

He also tagged mediapersons like Rahul Kanwal, Anjana Om Kashyap, Sudhir Chowdhary, Rajat Sharma, many other journos and media organizations as well.

“Many youngsters admire you. It is time to tell them: Apna Time Aa Gaya Hai and that it is time to turn up with high Josh to a voting centre near you,” he tweeted tagging Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal, using wildly popular catchphrases from their blockbuster movies “Gully Boy” and “Uri”.

He also reached out to Nitish Kumar, Ram Vilas Paswan and Pawan Chamling, saying: “Soliciting your support and active participation in improving voting across the country in the coming elections. Let us strive to create an atmosphere where maximum voting can take place.”

Interestingly, the Prime Minister did not tag Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal in his tweets.
