Lionel Messi known as G.O.A.T (greatest of all times) has been an ace performer who knocked down Real Madrid from the Copa Del Rey in the La Liga.

The magical goaler Messi has often left his team jaw-dropped and many have been head over heels of Messi’s performance, it is only natural that the president of the club would want his superstar to stay with them for long.

Barcelona, the Catalan giant football team’s President Josep Maria Bartomeu has been trying to tie down the Argentine to another contract but Messi has been reluctant to do so. However, Bartomeu admitted the fact that the club will eventually lose him. He even declared that Barcelona “cannot imagine” life without Messi.

“At the moment we cannot imagine it, but we have to prepare for it,” Bartomeu told Marca.

“It will be a very different Barcelona, we have to look for young talent. Leo has a contract until 2021 and we will also do another renewal. He has the ambition to win titles,” he added.

Messi has established a huge legacy at Barcelona after leading the club to nine La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns since his first-team breakthrough more than 15 years ago. Messi is also the club’s all-time top goalscorer with 442 goals.

“There is a lot left to go, but the objective is the treble. I see the players and coaches are motivated and also the directors, many years ago, the supporters were pessimistic. The presidents have influence, but we have had great players. We have also had coaches who have had a lot of success,” he said.
