The efficiency of artificial intelligence is not hidden from anyone. This techno-mechanism is developing now and it is adding a new dimension every day. Such a new chapter was added to it when AI was able to count the holes on the moon within a few hours.

This study was presented by team of researchers under the leadership of Penn State University and Sibbert and Mohammed Ali Dib of the University of Toronto. Researchers have hoped to develop human habitat on the Moon based on the AI assessment and develop the technology to protect the people living here from dangerous radiation. AI’s computer software was trained to mark five kilometers of pits on the Moon.

For this test, researchers had given about 90,000 photos of the moon’s surface in computer software. By studying photographs, AI identified the seven thousand pits not previously marked. Experts provided these photos to the Artificial Neural Network (ANN). ANN works like a brain to learn and train things.

The ANN team of the researchers were trained to keep one type of photos in one category and to identify the pits. When the machine was tested, it identified 6883 new pits. Researchers believe that further training can be done by using AI to identify patholes.

The results of the research have been published in the journal “New Scientist”.

Dr. Sylbert said that after making further improvements in this model, patholes smaller than five kilometers can also be identified.
