New Delhi: A French startup company has started making hydrogen-powered electric bicycles called ‘Alpha Bike’. With the introduction of this new kind of bicycle, France’s Pragma Industries has become the first company to make a gas-driven cycle. Actually, the gas-driven cycle is designed to be used in corporate or municipal fleets. Let us tell you that this company makes the fuel cells for the military use. The company has sold 60 hydrogen powered bikes for 60 municipalities of France.

Planning to reduce the price
The price of this bicycle called ‘Alpha Bike’ is much higher than that of the customer. The price of a hydrogen bicycle is 7,500 euros (about 6 lakh rupees). However, the company is planning to reduce its price to five thousand euros. If this happened then ‘alpha bike’ can be included in the grade of premium electric bikes. The founder and chief executive of the company, Praterey Forty, claimed that many other companies have a prototype of hydrogen bikes but our company is the first who has shown this kind of bike.

Do not need to hit Pendal
The funny thing is that there will be no need to hit the pendal to run ‘Alpha Bike’. The company claims that this bike can distance 62 miles, or about 100 kilometers, into 2 liters of hydrogen. The good thing about this is that it gets charged much faster than the e-bike. Let me also tell you that one kg of hydrogen is about 600 times more energy than one kilo lithium-ion battery. The founder of this company also sells re-fueling stations through which hydrogen can be made.

Increase in demand in many countries
This bike looks just like a normal bicycle. In the coming days, the company is planning to give the bike to the delivery company on the rent. Pragma Company has built 100 hydrogen powered electric bicycles last year. In the coming time, the company plans to build 150 bicycles. Sanrey Forte claimed that there is a demand for this kind of gas cycle in Norway, US, Spain, Italy and Germany.

Chief executive Praderey Forty said that in the next two to three years our plan is to get into the Consumer market. This is being done to reduce the price of alpha bikes.
