Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Lord Birsa Munda is the pride of the country’s tribal society. He inspired the community brothers to struggle for their rights and make efforts themselves to bring changes in their lives. Following the path shown by Lord Birsa Munda, the state government is conducting activities in various fields including education, entrepreneurship for development, welfare of tribal society and making youth self-reliant. Under this, the implementation of the PESA Act is starting from November 15 in the state.
State level programme in Shahdol
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the programme organised at the CM’s residence in connection with the celebration of Tribal Pride Day, which is going to be held on the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda on November 15. Along with tribal-dominated development blocks, the state-level programme is going to be held in Shahdol. Today, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan discussed with people’s representatives, workers of voluntary organisations, heads of tribal communities, traditional Tadvi, Patel and other representatives who have arrived from different districts of the state. CM Shri Chouhan, while discussing with the invited representatives about Tribal Pride Day, informed them about various government schemes and welfare programmes. Tribal Affairs Minister Sushri Meena Singh, Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Animal Husbandry and Social Justice Minister Shri Prem Singh Patel, Tribal Finance Development Corporation Chairperson Smt. Nirmala Sunil Barela and other representatives were present.
