Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that development of the state and welfare of the people is the aim of my life. To fulfill this, I need the cooperation of all of you.
He said social revolution is going on in the state to make the lives of sisters and daughters better. If my sisters are happy then my life is successful.
Chouhan attended the Ladli Bahna Sammelan at Beohari in Shahdol district today. He also distributed bonus worth Rs. 51 crore to Tendu Patta collectors. Sisters tied rakhi to their dear brother Shivraj, sang songs for him, read out congratulatory letters and expressed thanks.
Chouhan laid the foundation stone of The Bhanni Major Irrigation Project costing Rs. 327 crore 51 lakh. He also released the book “Safal-Sabal Shahdol” of the district administration.
Chouhan announced to make Beohari a mini smart city, to open a college in The Ban Sagar from this session, apart from ring road and bridge construction.
Chouhan said that Ladli Bahna Yojana is a social revolution. It will bring respect in the life of sisters and boost their self-confidence. This plan has been prepared after a lot of deliberation. In this, 1000 rupees will be given every month in the accounts of sisters.
The sisters in the age group of 23 to 60 years of families, whose annual income is less than 2.5 lakh, own land less than 5 acres and do not have a four-wheeler will get the benefit of this scheme, he said.
Forms will be filled by setting up camps in every ward and village for the scheme, he said.
The last date to fill the form is 30 April. If even after this the names are left out, they will also be added. Every eligible sister will get the benefit of the scheme.
Chouhan said that it is necessary to get the KYC of the sisters done in the scheme. For this, the government will give Rs. 15 per KYC to those who fulfill KYC. KYC can be done at Ration Shops, Common Service Centres and MP Online. For this, if the sister has to go to another village, then the administration will also arrange a vehicle for her. CM Shri Chouhan clearly said that no sister should give a single rupee to any person. If someone demands then directly complain on 181, that person will be sent to jail.
Chouhan said that since childhood I have been noticing that complete justice was not being meted to daughters. They did not get equal respect as sons in home, family and society. It was then itself that I decided that I will fight continuously for the respect of daughters. I initiated the Ladli Laxmi Yojana as soon as I became the Chief Minister. After this, work for the welfare of women went on through various schemes like Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah / Nikah, Gaon Ki Beti and Pratibha Kiran.
Chouhan said that 50 percent reservation has been given to women in panchayats and urban bodies in the state. This has helped empower them in the political field as well. 30 percent reservation is given to women in police recruitment. Moral control has been imposed on drugs in the state. Liquor vends have been closed.
Chouhan said that after the implementation of the PESA rule, the tribal brothers and sisters have got the rights of water, forest and land in the tribal areas. Now tendu patta collectors can pluck tendu patta themselves and sell them. They can operate stone and ballast quarries in their area. Minor disputes are settled by the village peace and dispute resolution committee. Now no one can grab your land.
Chouhan said that the previous government did not fulfill the loan waiver announcement, due to which lakhs of farmers became defaulters. Our government is giving crop loans to all those farmers at zero percent interest by paying the amount of interest. Water is being supplied by laying pipelines even in uneven fields of the farmers. To provide better education than private schools, CM Rise Schools are being opened, which are equipped with all facilities like library, laboratory, playground etc.Each CM Rise school is being built at a cost of about Rs 35 crores and buses are being arranged to bring students up to 25 km away.
Forest Minister Kunwar Dr. Vijay Shah said that the all-round development of the state is taking place under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan. Schemes are being run in the state to provide benefits from the birth of a child to the last rites. Almost all tendu patta women pluckers will get the benefit of the Ladli Bahna Yojana which was launched recently in the state.
Union Minister of State for Steel Faggan Singh Kulaste said that Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has created a new history with schemes like Ladli Bahna. PESA rule is being implemented effectively in the tribal development blocks of the state. Chief Minister Chouhan deserves congratulations for all these unique initiatives. MP Reeti Pathak and MLA Shri Sharad Kol also addressed the gathering.
