5 Security Personnel Killed In Encounter With Maoists In Chhattisgarh

In an encounter with Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, five security forces were killed and several others were wounded in the line of duty. “In the line of duty, five military forces were killed. Maoists have also been killed, and they have sustained significant losses “According to Ashok Juneja, a senior state officer.


When the gunbattle broke out in the district’s Tarrem town, security personnel from the CRPF’s elite CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) squad, the District Reserve Guard (DRG), and the Special Task Force (STF) were out carrying anti-Maoist operations.

This comes  day after Maoists attacked a bus carrying 27 DRG (District Reserve Guard) troops in Chhattisgarh’s Naryanpur district, killing five police officers and injuring 14.
