Arun Sood, the president of the Chandigarh BJP, confirmed that veteran actress and politician Kirron Kher is suffering from blood cancer. On Wednesday, he announced this in a simulated press conference.

According to a Hindustan Times article, Arun Sood wrote, “On November 11 of last year, Kirron Kher fractured her left arm at her Chandigarh home. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma following surgical examinations at Chandigarh’s Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Science (PGIMER). Her left arm and right shoulder have been affected by the illness. On December 4, she had to fly to Mumbai for surgery.”

“Even though she is recovering from her four-month care and is no longer a patient at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, she has to return for treatment on a regular basis,” he revealed.

In 2014, Kirron Kher defeated Congress candidate Pawan Bansal and became India’s first female prime minister. She beat him again in 2019 and held her Chandigarh seat.

However, neither the actress nor her husband Anupam Kher has made any public comments about Kirron Kher’s wellbeing to date.
