MP Police constable Sandeep Kaurav has to drive the bus boarded with five polling teams returning to Shahpura Krishi Upaj Mandi strong room in district Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh when a driver of a private bus was taken ill mid-way near village Nechhi on Friday night.

After the end of voting and counting of votes on July 1 of the second phase of three-tier panchayat elections in Nechim Saliwada and Nunpur in Shahpura Janpad in district Jabalpur was over the teams were returning to Shahpura to submit the election documents and articles when the driver was taken ill.

A driver of private bus Sibbu Yadav feeling uncomfortable all of sudden stopped the bus and fainted. The members of polling team immediately informed the administrative and police officials about the driver taken ill.

Superintendent of Police Jabalpur Siddarth Bahuguna on received the information immediately instructed nearby Chargawan police station to arrange a private driver.

On search the local police could not get the driver therefore the police have to rush its constable (driver) Sandeep Kaurav and Constable Kailash Patel with the police team to get the bus driven to the election strong room in Shahpura, the police said.

The bus was parked in area where there was raining and at few distance there was a stream between villages Nechi and Sagda that gets overflowed during monsoon, the police said.

The bus was driven to the election strong-room in Shahpura some 45 kilometers far from the district headquarters Jabalpur. The driver was given medication on reaching Shahpura, the police said.
