MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday lashed out at ex-CM Kamal Nath for crying of paucity of funds to spend on development works during previous Congress regime.

He said it is the work of Chief Minister to arrange funds for development work and he (CM) cannot deny allocation of funds for development works saying there is paucity of funds.

He was addressing a public gathering at Khandwa.

The BJP government is always ready to spend on the development works and never cry of paucity of funds, he said.

The BJP government restarted the welfare schemes discontinued by Congress govt. led by Kamal Nath, he said.

Various welfare schemes were discontinued by Congress government including Sambal yojna and scholarship scheme for higher studies, Chouhan said.

He asked the party candidate contesting civic body polls in Khandwa to ensure that every street vendor in their area is benefited by the government scheme.

If any vendor does not get Rs.10000 under the scheme identify them and get registered so that they get benefit of it, he said.
