To encourage religious tourism in India, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is launching a new Bharat Darshan tourist train from Madhya Pradesh today. Let us remind you that the IRCTC has already established a tourist train. Which will travel to five Northeastern states with the mission of ‘Dekho Apna Desh.’ These tour packages are all-inclusive; the IRCTC staff has considered all of the tourists’ travel needs while developing them. Bharat Darshan is a joint project of the Indian Railways and the Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture, which organizes the “world’s cheapest and most comfortable” tour packages from time to time. It aims to introduce the culture of different parts of the country to the people who are deprived of tourism due to any reason.

The Bharat Darshan train being launched from Madhya Pradesh will start from Rewa station and will eventually travel through railway stations which will take passengers to Agra, Mathura, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Amritsar and even to Vaishno Devi Temple (Katra). The main objective of running this train is to “give a better experience of the beautiful historical and devotional places of North India”.

According to IRCTC, Bharat Darshan train will start from Rewa station in Madhya Pradesh; However, special boarding facilities will also be available from other railway stations like Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Itarsi, Hoshangabad, Habibganj, Vidisha, Ganj Basoda, Bina and Jhansi.
