Amid continuously increasing graph of new covid19 infections in the country, Shivraj Singh Chouhan Government in Madhya Pradesh has decided to impose 1-day lockdown in three cities of Indore, Jabalpur, And the state Capital of Bhopal. from Saturday Night to 6 am Monday morning. Meanwhile, all the schools and colleges of the state have been ordered to remain closed till 31st march.

With 1,140 new Covid-19 disease cases and seven associated deaths on Friday, the state saw its largest single-day spike of 2021, bringing the total caseload and death toll to 2,73,097 and 3,901, respectively. The figures released on Friday were also the largest since late December of last year. An official told PTI that Indore had the most cases (309), followed by Bhopal (272), with one death each in Bhopal, Gwalior, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Khandwa, Shajapur, and Umaria. He said that so far in the state, there have been 2,62,587 recoveries, and more than 60.92 lakh individuals have been checked.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, announced several limitations in the state on Thursday, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged state chief ministers not to allow the country to achieve its second coronavirus peak.

From 10 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Monday, there will be a lockdown. During the lockdown, essential services and businesses will continue to operate.

The Chief Minister said that permission from the administration would be required to hold social functions in Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur during the lockdown on Sunday. In the state towns of Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur, schools and universities will be closed until March 31.

Last day, 21 thousand corona tests were held in the state, according to Additional Chief Secretary of Health Mohammad Suleman. The state’s positivity rate is 5.5 percent, which is higher than the national average.

The Chief Minister has said that those who are not wearing masks are endangering not only their own but also the lives of everyone in society. The government is making all necessary arrangements, but to prevent infection, full cooperation of all of you is very important.

From March 20, Mr Chouhan ordered that bus service to and from Maharashtra be suspended.

Markets in portions of Madhya Pradesh will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. under the new guidelines.
