In Madhya Pradesh, moreover one crore individuals have been completely vaccinated against COVID-19, out of a total population of 5.40 crore, according to health officials.

Priyanka Das, managing director of the National Health Mission (NHM) in Madhya Pradesh, informed news agency Press Trust of India that 1,00,09,759 individuals in Madhya Pradesh have got both doses of COVID-19 vaccination as of Tuesday.

She told Press Trust of India that a total of 5,21,53,251 individuals have been vaccinated in the state so far, with 4,21,43,492 receiving the first dosage and the rest receiving both shots.

Another official claimed the state is preparing to start a “mega campaign 3.0” on September 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, with a goal of inoculating 32.90 lakh people on that day.

On that day, the Madhya Pradesh government has set a target of district-by-district record vaccinations, according to the official.

On Tuesday, Madhya Pradesh recorded seven new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections to 7,92,360, while no new deaths were reported in the state, keeping the death toll at 10,517, according to a health department official.

According to him, the recovery count stands at 7,81,717, leaving the state with 126 ongoing cases.
