The Shivraj Government of Madhya Pradesh (MP) has given a big gift to the employees ahead of Diwali. The DA of Madhya Pradesh employees has been increased by 8%. In this way, government employees have got a big gift before Diwali.

The employees had been sitting for a long time demanding a DA hike. In view of this, the Shivraj government has made a big bet ahead of the bypoll. He has said that the dearness allowance for all government servants in the state will be increased by 8%.

At the same time, it has been stated that government servants will get this enhanced Dearness Allowance by adding to the salary of October 2021 to be paid in November 2021. At the same time, the total Dearness Allowance to the officers and employees of the State will now increase from 12% to 20%.

The financial situation of the State was badly affected during the Corona period and due to this, the increment slated for government servants in July 2020 and January 2021 was also postponed. On the other hand, the State Government has now decided that 50% of this pending increment will be paid along with the salary of October 2021 to be paid in November 2021.

The 50% of the pending increment will be paid along with the salary of February 2022 to be paid in March 2022. Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj said, “Dearness Allowance to officers and employees has not been increased since 2020 due to corona crisis in the state.”

The Congress government had issued orders in March 2020 to increase the Dearness Allowance by 12 percent to 17 percent, but it did not come into force due to a change of power. Meanwhile, the Central Government had also postponed the hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) in view of the situation in Corona. Based on this, the Government had deferred the order for an increase in Dearness Allowance by 5 percent, which has not been received to date.
