On Sunday, a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with Indian paralympic athletes was posted on the PM’s official Twitter account.

At the Tokyo Paralympics, India won an unprecedented 19 medals, including five golds.

On September 9, Prime Minister Modi hosted a brunch for the Indian para-athletes and their coaches at his house.

The Prime Minister congratulated the medalists on their historic success in the Games, saying that their achievements will improve the athletic community’s spirit across the country.

The para-athletes also expressed gratitude to the prime minister for inviting them and said they were honoured to be at his table.

The athletes presented the PM with a white stole, which he wore around his neck and was autographed by all of the medal winners.

Several players also presented him with their autographed sports equipment, which they used to win their medals.

The Prime Minister boosted the spirits of those who didn’t make the podium by saying that a real sportsperson doesn’t get bogged down by failure or success and keeps going forward.
