Anganwadi workers plays an important role in development of India – said Minister Chitnis, Oriented by the National Mission on Nutrition.

  • 10 thousand of Anganwadi workers and honorarium of assistants will be 5 thousand rupees and the Retirement age will be 62 years.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has announced the honorarium of Anganwadi workers Rs. 10 thousand and honorarium of Sahayari 5 thousand rupees a month. At the same time retirement age will be equal to 62 years of government employees. They will also be given travel allowance.
The Chief Minister urged the Anganwadi workers and assistants to make excellent management of Aanganwadi and work hard to create malnutrition free Madhya Pradesh. Chauhan was addressing the orientation workshop on the Nutrition Campaign for Anganwadi workers and assistants at the residence here today. Anganwadi workers and assistants from across the state attended the workshop.
The Chief Minister challenged the Anganwadi workers and assistants to help end the challenge of malnutrition from Madhya Pradesh for ever. He said that any Anganwadi workers, assistants will not be removed without checking. If Anganwadi Assistant is applied for selection in the form of Anganwadi worker then he will be given preference. Chief Minister also announced Deen Dayal Nutrition Award After retirement, Anganwadi workers will be given one lakh rupees and Anganwadi assistants will get Rs 75,000. If he accidentally dies, his family will be given two lakhs of financial assistance. Besides, their sister or daughter will be given a 10-point preference in the selection of the worker / assistant.
Chouhan said that three awards will be given in each project for Anganwadi workers and assistants who perform excellent work. Anganwadi workers will be given first prize of 7100 rupees, second prize of Rs 5100 and third prize of 2100 rupees. Similarly, the first prize for assistants will be Rs. 5100, second prize 2100 and third prize money Rs. 1100.
Chouhan said that during the pregnancy of a working woman in the unorganized sector, Rs. 4 thousand and Rs. 12 thousand will be given after delivery. Anganwadi workers will be given the responsibility to register these sisters and to make money in their accounts.
On this occasion, the Minister of Women and Child Development, Archana Chitnis said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has established a new record in the field of service and development throughout the country. He said that Anganwadi worker sisters fulfill big responsibilities at the lower level. They successfully completed the campaign to combat the anemia deficiency. Apart from this, the responsibility of providing health and other government services is also done with passion. They play an important role in the implementation of key plans at the grassroots level.
Commissioner of the Commission, Women Empowerment Jayshree Kiyevat, Commissioner ICDS Sandeep Yadav and a large number of Anganwadi workers and supporters were present at the workshop.
