Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said after 87 years the Rath Yatra restarted in Datia on occasion of ‘Prakatya Utsav’ of Goddess Pitambara.

The rath yatra is a pride of Datia and the development of the place will continue in future, he said.

He announced to open Law college and police training school in Datia and starting air services.

He was speaking in a function held on occasion of Maa Pitambara Prakatya Mahotsav and Datia Gaurav Day was celebrated.

He said the grand Rath Yatra of Goddess Pitambara, which has started in Datia, will now continue continuously.

Earlier, the President of Maa Pitambara Trust and former chief minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje also addressed.

Home Minister and local MLA Dr. Narottam Mishra, while giving a welcome address, thanked the guests for being present on this historic occasion and starting the Rath Yatra.

Minister of State for Public Works and in-charge of Datia district Suresh Dhakad, public representatives and citizens were present in the function.

Chouhan said under the leadership of Dr. Narottam Mishra, his team has done the work of creating new history.

Chouhan said the government has decided to celebrate Gaurav Diwas for the development of every village and city.

State Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra created history by taking a wonderful decision to celebrate Goddess Pitambara’s Prakatya Utsav as Pride Day. The Rath Yatra organized on Gaurav Diwas will continue till time immemorial, he said.

Chouhan reached Datia Pitambara Peeth and offered prayers to Goddess Pitambara and prayed for the development and progress of the country and the state. He said it is the duty of all of us to do whatever is possible for the development of our city. He said the city gets pride because of everyone’s cooperation and contribution with the government.
