A consumer of the state run Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company (central discom) received a bill of Rs. 3419 crore which the central discom authority claimed to be a ‘human error’.

Soon on receiving the complain, the central discom authorities issued a corrected bill of Rs. 1300 to consumer a Gupta family resident of Shiv Vihar colony in Gwalior, MP.

According to the officials the error occurred due to the employee erroneously entered consumer number in place of actual units of power consumed in the computer format.

MP Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar told reporters error is rectified and action is taken against the erring employee.
