Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and discussed the good governance initiatives of the MP Government and how their transformative schemes are bringing a positive change in people’s lives.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said “Met MP CM @ChouhanShivraj Ji, who discussed the good governance initiatives of the MP Government and how their transformative schemes are bringing a positive change in people’s lives”.

During meeting Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan apprised PM Modi about various welfare schemes undertaken by the state government.

Chouhan urged the prime minister to organize the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas at Indore in MP on 9 January 2023.

PM Modi has accepted the invitation of Chouhan for inaugural of Mahakal Maharaj Kshetra Vistar Yojna at Ujjain. The chief minister urged Modi to inaugurate virtually the startup policy to be launched in May next. 

The chief minister informed about the popular wheat variety abroad Sharbati and Durum wheat grown in MP.

He said as of now 2.40 lakh tonnes of wheat is exported. There is possibility of export of 20 lakh metric tonnes of wheat from the state. The Egyptian delegation has expressed its desire to import wheat from Madhya Pradesh, he informed.

He informed about the facilities being provided to the exporters by the state under the export policy. While apprising the prime minister about the diversification policy of agriculture, Chouhan said oilseeds and cash crops are being promoted in the state, so that foreign exchange can be saved by reducing the import of edible oil.

While discussing the progress of ethanol policy of the state, Chouhan said so far approval letters for 50 crore liters of ethanol production have been issued.

Chouhan apprised about the progress of Amrit Sarovar Yojana in Madhya Pradesh.

He informed a target of 75 Amrit Sarovar structures has been set in each district of the state.

In this way, construction of about 3800 Amrit Sarovar structures in the state will be completed with public participation.

On August 15, flag hoisting will also be done near these water structures.
