The Central Bureau of Investigation has today filed Charge Sheet before the Court of Special Judge, CBI cases, Greater Mumbai, Mumbai against then Home Minister Ani Deshmukh, his PS Sanjeev Palande and his PA Kundan Shinde in an on-going investigation of a case.

The CBI had registered a case on 21.04.2021 against then Home Minister of Maharashtra Government and others for allegedly attempted to obtain undue advantage for improper & dishonest performance of their public duties.

A Preliminary Enquiry was earlier registered by CBI on 06.04.2021 against then Home Minister, Government of Maharashtra and others on the orders dated 05.04.2021 of Hon’ble High Court of Bombay in PIL No.06/2021.

It was revealed during Preliminary Enquiry that the said accused and others allegedly attempted to obtain undue advantage for improper & dishonest performance of their public duties, the official note of CBI said.

It was also alleged that the said accused & others exercised undue influence over the transfers & postings of Police Officers.

Further investigation is continuing in the case.
