The South African capital Cape Town is facing a deep water crisis. The lack of water here is a hazard in people. After 75 days, it is possible that Cape Town will become the world’s first waterless capital. Due to the drought continuously for three years, the city has reached the mouth of famine due to administrative negligence. Instead of sleeping, the government has now imposed restriction of 50 liters of water per person per day. It has also announced to impose penalty on more use.

Between the stricter stagnant water crisis on these , the government has put a strict ban on pouring water into the gardens and washing the vehicles.

To do this 50 liters of bath, washing of clothes, use in defecation, cleaning teeth, hair washing, cooking food and drinking water etc. Each person will have to do all this work in the water limit of 50 liters per person per day.

An American person’s average water consumption – 302 to 378 liters of water a day uses an average American
-15 liters of water, 90 sq fountains are spent in bathing –
7.5 liters of water is used once in the defecation process.

Penalty for using more water also 
in view of the current situation in Cape Town, penalty is imposed on more water expenditure. The more water used, the more money it will have to pay. For example, using 20 thousand liters of water per month will have to pay Rs 1536 against the earlier Rs 361. At the same time 50 thousand liters per month for water expenditure will have to pay up to Rs 20 thousand instead of 2800 rupees.
