Telegram’s most awaited feature of group video calling has come to an end. Users can turn their group voice chats into video conference calls using the latest version of Telegram.

You can pin someone’s video feed to your screen even as more people join the session. If you need to give a presentation or want to show something, you can share your screen. You can share both your camera feed and your screen at the same time.

Telegram’s mobile and desktop applications also received a major update today. Mobile users will enjoy a new backdrop animation feature that adds a pleasant touch of personalization to chats, and all platforms will benefit from new video call features.

It also allows you to completely customize or use pre-made animated chat backdrops. Patterns can be used in these animations, or they can simply display colors that are already available. You may adjust the color configurations, add or subtract colors, and then share those customized layouts with Telegram contacts if you like.

When you add stickers or emojis to your chat, you’ll notice new animations as the item “seamlessly” bounces from the keyboard area into your chat.
It’s not a major feature, but it adds a lovely touch of elegance. With the customized chat theme, new animated emojis are also available.

Telegram announced in April 2020 that group video calling would be available later that year. Without a release, the year 2020 came and went.
Then, nearly precisely a year after its initial announcement, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov said that the update would be released in May.

Telegram missed that deadline as well, but now many Telegram users would appreciate the feature of group video calling and customized chat theme.
