Google is ready to launch its new Cloud region in India. It will make easier for organizations to work smoothly in the digital era. The whole world has transformed manual work into virtual/ digital work after the Covid-19 pandemic. This will give us a new step towards a digital-first future.

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Alphabet and Google & Thomas Kurian, the CEO of Google cloud will officially launch the second cloud. The event is planned for July 15. An invitation was sent to Media today.

“Join us in building India’s digital future,” the invite read.

“With reduced latency and improved availability, businesses can now innovate faster, build high-performing applications, and better serve customers by taking advantage of a smarter, open, and trusted cloud,” the tech giant said.

In 2017, Google launched the cloud in the Mumbai region.

Last year, the company announced plans to open its second Cloud region in India, in Delhi-NCR. This will help to assist regulated businesses like healthcare and financial services, as well as public sector organisations, in achieving their cloud goals across the country.

Google cloud regions bring Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to organizations in industries such as media and entertainment, retail, and manufacturing as the company’s customers in India grow and diversify.

The new area will also have a portfolio of key GCP products, offer lower latency to nearby users, and provide geographically separate in-country disaster recovery for clients’ mission-critical applications when combined with the existing Mumbdai region.

Kurian stated that the company is continuing to expand its global footprint, opening new regions last year. It also aims to open many more in the future, with India being a top priority they have plans for more clouds.
Kurian added last year during an interview that they are not only committed to growing deeper in the Indian market but also aggressively investing to enhance their Cloud footprint and empower organizations in the country.

Pichai has committed $10 billion to promote India’s digital transformation.
