Recent studies have suggested that dogs have evolved to be pack animals with strong bonds to those around them, and in their domesticated state, the instinct to physically stick with the members of the pack also transfers to their humans, as per a ANI report.

If your pets are following you to every nook and cranny of your house and especially when the nature calls ring the bells (to the bathroom), blame it to their ‘pack behaviour’.

Reports say that if a pet has already started following you everywhere, it is highly likely that its a dog and is experiencing anxiety as well as separation issues. Whenever you will leave your pet on its own, the same misery is bound to occur again to it.

What are some of the ways you can reduce the stress and blue moments from their lives?

Take them for a walk, play fetch and other games with them which involve physical activity. Pups and adults doggos love to play tug of war, several such toy ropes are available online and in the offline market. Also, always keep fresh bowl water available for them. They don’t like to drink from if it has become stale or if their own saliva has accumulated in the bowl which usually does.

On the contrary, cats are not known to be as pack animals. For them, their privacy is paramount but they are in a constant search of warmth. They’re also often seen cuddling up in towels or pillows, rushing towards you to sit on your laps, they want to all dolled up by you!

However, cats would follow you to your loo trips but not because of their concern of separation from you but as they are insecure and want to check if there is nothing untoward going inside the house which could be threatening to them.

Some pet dogs can just surrender yet they remain intelligent, protecting their family from danger. Pet dogs are usually very docile and obedient, unlike the feline race.

A kitten learns everything from its mother who teaches it to prey and protect itself. Cats will love you and trust you, they’re highly smart and cunning who also are extremely fast in their movements.
