Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has released the Madhya Pradesh Good Governance and Development Report 2022 in a function held at Delhi.

In his address to the function, Chouhan highlighted various development works going in Madhya Pradesh including setting up Chief Minister Rise Schools and financial empowerment of women in rural areas through providing works to the self help groups.

He invited the representatives of various organizations present in the function to visit Madhya Pradesh and take first hand information about the development works carried through the years for betterment of the society.

Chouhan said the river linkage projects are underway and the big rivers are connected to the rivers with less water.

He thanked the Centre for allocation of funds amounting Rs.44000 crore for Ken-Betwa river link project.

The Ken Betwa Link Project Project is a multi-purpose project with irrigation, hydropower and water supply benefits. The project envisages to provide enormous benefits to the water satarved Bundelkhand region of MP. going to irrigate 10.62 lakh hectares of agriculture land in perennially drought prone area and water starved regions in Chhatarpur, Panna and Tikamgarh of Madhya Pradesh.

The government is focusing on development of education, health and other sectors for betterment of the society, he said.

Madhya Pradesh’s innovation and good governance steps has become the subject of national discussion, he said.

It is noteworthy that many schemes of Madhya Pradesh have become the subject of national discussion including Ladli Laxmi Yojna, he said.

Other states has ratified the welfare programs of Madhya Pradesh and implemented them in their way, he added.

The Good Governance and Development Report is prepared by the MP Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis that also carry inputs of subject experts from reputed institution in the country. It outlines the state of governance the challenges it faces especially in the context of policy reform in selected sectors.
