Irrigation schemes of 315 Crore Rs launched in Damoh.
Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya has said that no better work can be done than to bring water to the farmers’ fields in time. The Finance Minister was addressing the fundraising session of the ambitious Satdhru Irrigation Project worth Rs 315 crore in Damoh today. In the program, MP Prahlad Patel, MLA Lakhan Patel and local public representatives were present.
Finance Minister Malaiya said that irrigation can be done in 18 thousand acres of area through Satdruh medium irrigation project. Irrigation in 65 villages and drinking water in 100 villages will be available from the project. He said that for the land acquisition in the project, the farmers have been given Rs. 30 crore and the forest department has been given Rs. 70 crore. Malaiya said that Satnagar Medium Irrigation Scheme worth Rs. 500 crores in Damoh has also got administrative approval. This irrigation scheme will cover irrigation in 10 thousand acres of area. The Finance Minister said that the work of the dam will be completed in the Satdhru project in 2019. Here water will be transported in the fields by pressure system.
