Madhya Pradesh Minister for Environment Hardeep Singh Dang was informed by UNDP representative Srinivas that the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) in Madhya Pradesh, will help 75 primary health centres to use solar power and also install digitized monitoring system.

The UNDP has decided to undertake solar energy and environment-protection works in 10 states of India including Madhya Pradesh, the representative said.

UNDP will also set up 15 electric vehicle charging stations in the state, most of which will be in Indore.

The Energy audit will be done in 15 solar cold storages and 50 micro and small scale industries in the rural areas.

Appreciating the work being done by UNDP in the field of green energy in Madhya Pradesh, Minister Dang said they should also bring such other projects in Madhya Pradesh, which will be quite effective in the direction of global warming and climate balance.

Srinivas informed out of the target set for India, about 12 crore rupees have been earmarked for the works of Madhya Pradesh. As many as 500 to 1000 youths will be benefitted in electronic vehicle training. Minister Dang called on by the UNDP team.
