During the inauguration of third bridge on the Mandovi river in Panaji on Sunday, CM Parrikar began his speech with the catchy line from the recently released film Uri: The Surgical Strike, asking the crowd “How’s the josh?

Similarly on January 30, Goa CM presented the budget while being seated because of his critical condition and said:

“Today, once again I promise that I will serve Goa with sincerity, integrity, and dedication until my last breath. There is a josh, that is too high and I’m fully in hosh.”

In September 2016, when the Army conducted the surgical strike, Parrikar was the Defence Minister.

Parrikar, 62, has been battling a pancreatic ailment since March 2018. He even spent three months in US for medical treatment.

The Goa CM is not the only BJP leader to have been speaking this catchy phrase from the film. At the inauguration of the National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 20, PM Modi recited a dialogue from the same film.

“How’s the josh?” PM asked, quoting a line from the movie. His question made the audience roared with laughter and give a round of applause.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman teamed up with war veterans to watch the film. Post the event, she Tweeted:

“What a power-packed movie… Brilliant performances Yami Gautam, Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina. Recharged also by the energy in the cinema hall! #HighJosh.”
