Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, said on Monday that he had a long discussion with BJP President J P Nadda about expanding his Cabinet and that the final list would be announced on Tuesday.

The day of the oath-taking ceremony will be chosen following discussion with Karnataka BJP head Nalin Kumar Kateel once the list of new ministers is finalized, he said. All aspects, including regional and social representation, will be considered in the selection of the next Cabinet.

Those who switched to the BJP from other parties should not be concerned, according to Bommai. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi and Kateel also attended the meeting. “We had a detailed discussion with Naddaji. We are expecting the final list tomorrow evening,” Bommai told reporters after a close to an hour-long meeting.

“We had a detailed discussion with Naddaji. We are expecting the final list tomorrow evening,” Bommai told reporters after a close to an hour-long meeting.

“One list was discussed with the BJP chief and he has said that he will re-look and finalize it by tomorrow evening. We will get to know the number of new ministers and their names tomorrow,” he said.

According to Bommai, the party chief has received two to three lists with various combinations for consideration. When asked if those who have switched parties will be considered by the BJP, the chief minister responded, “I want to make it clear that they are not immigrants, but rather citizens of our country.

From the standpoint of the party, a choice will be made. There’s no need to be worried… We’ll look after everyone.”

Before revealing the final list, the BJP central leadership would conduct another round of internal discussions, according to Bommai. He noted that while Parliament is in session, the party’s central leadership may decide in the evening or night.

“We discussed the entire condition of affairs in the state. They’ve also said a couple of other things. We want to give a cabinet that is proactive and trustworthy “Bommai remarked.

Nadda’s meeting was rescheduled four times. During the day, the chief minister also met with B L Santosh, the BJP’s national general secretary, and Dharmendra Pradhan, the Education Minister. Bommai’s meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, however, was canceled. According to sources, one round of cabinet enlargement discussions between Bommai and top party leaders took place on Sunday night.
