The Hawk Force of MP Police has killed three naxalites including a woman naxal in the encounter took place in naxal infested Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced gallantry award and out of turn promotion to the police team.

The three naxals were wanted and the reward of over Rs. 30 lakh was announced for their information leading to arrest were killed in the encounter with the Hawk Force personnel in the forest area under Bahela police station in Lanji tehsil of Balaghat district.

Those killed are identified as Nagesh divisional committee member carrying a reward of Rs 15 lakh, Manoj area commanders alongwith woman Rame carried reward of Rs 8 lakh each, MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra told local reporters in Bhopal.

Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh shares border with Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra states. The district is a corridor for the naxalities movement from Chhattisgarh to Maharashtra states.
