Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was captured by Pakistan on February 27.

Pakistan is set to release Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman on Friday who was captured on February 27 after the Pakistan Air Force violated the Indian aircraft and downed a MiG 21 ‘Bison’ aircraft.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was scheduled to speak at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Abu Dhabi at 1 p.m. IST on Friday.

AT the conference, she raised the issue of terrorism, amidst India-Pakistan tensions following the Pulwama terror attack.
