Ahead of Assam polls 2021 congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is seen interacting with women worker and plucking tea leaves while taking instructions from local plantation workers at Sadhuru tea garden in Assam’s Biswanath.

In a video twitted by INC official handle and ANI, Ms Gandhi, 49, dressed in a saree, had a basket on her back coupled with a band on her head for the mission. She was wearing a sarei. Around her back, she had a scarf on the band’s loops. Even, before taking on the work, she was covered with an apron at her waist.

Priyanka Gandhi is in the state for a two-day visit to kick off the Congress’ campaign for the state’s three-phased assembly elections, which commence on March 27, the Congress general secretary, is on the election campaigning in Assam, addressing women, laborer, and farmers across the state and spreading the party’s appeal to dethrone the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party administration.

Mrs. Gandhi urged Assamese women to vote “responsibly” in the forthcoming elections, saying it is important for their own and their children’s futures. She said that the current administration in Assam did little to reduce the incidence of crime against women in the state.
