Mukul Roy, a veteran of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), has been taken to Kolkata’s SSKM Hospital. On Thursday, Mukul Roy was brought to the hospital.

When Mukul Roy was taken to the state-run SSKM Hospital on Thursday, he was accompanied by his security staff and others. Mukul Roy was accompanied by his security personnel as he entered the hospital for admission.

Mukul Roy, a former BJP MLA and national vice-president, rejoined the TMC in June, four years after defecting to the saffron camp from Mamata Banerjee’s party.

Those close to Mukul Roy, 67, believe the senior TMC politician has been a little bewildered lately, especially after his wife died in July.

This has also embarrassed the TMC in recent months, when Mukul Roy said that the BJP would win the Krishnanagar bypoll if it were held now.

His followers were eager to point out that he had joined the TMC at one such media engagement, but Mukul Roy didn’t seem to notice, prompting suspicion about his mental health.
