Political strategist Prashant Kishor this morning signaled a fallout with the Congress during a tweet on the violence in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur, which has made national headlines, as he said “there aren’t any fix solutions to the deep-rooted problems and structural weakness of (the) GOP (Grand Old Party)”.
“People searching for a fast, spontaneous revival of (the) GOP-led opposition supported #LakhimpurKheri incident are setting themselves up for an enormous disappointment. Unfortunately there aren’t any mending solutions to the deep-rooted problems and structural weakness of GOP (sic)” Mr Kishor, 44, tweeted, as he named the detentions and arrests on of top Congress leaders, protesting the eight deaths within the UP district.

“People trying to find a fast, spontaneous revival of (the) GOP-led opposition supported #LakhimpurKheri incident are setting themselves up for an enormous disappointment. Unfortunately there are not any fixture solutions to the deep-rooted problems and structural weakness of GOP (sic)” Mr Kishor, 44, tweeted, as he mentioned the detentions and arrests on of top Congress leaders, protesting the eight deaths within the UP district.
In July, speculation had intensified of Mr Kishor joining the Congress as he visited the Gandhis in Delhi. At that point, an even bigger role for Mr Kishor – who has led many successful election campaigns within the past – was reportedly discussed. However, some leaders had objected to him being given a key role – prior to assembly elections in five states next year and 2024 Lok Sabha polls – due to his image, which was limited to managing polls.
In May, in an exclusive interview to NDTV, Mr Kishor had said he wanted to “take a break”. “I don’t want to continue what i’m doing. i’ve got done enough. it’s time on behalf of me to require a clear stage and do something else in life. i need to quit this space,” Mr Kishor had said.
