The Special Court, CBl Cases, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) has sentenced Sanjay Kumar Gaur, then Clerk in the office of Joint Controller (Finance & Accounts), Ordnance Clothing Factory, Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh) to undergo seven years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs. 2.15 lakh and Mohd. Sarif Khan, proprietor of M/s Sarif Khan to undergo seven years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs. 1.25 lakh.

The CBI had registered a case on 13.02.2004 on complaint from then Joint Controller (Finance & Accounts), Ordnance Clothing Factory, Shahjahanpur. lt was alleged that Sanjay Kumar Gaur, then Clerk entered into conspiracy with Mohd. Sarif Khan, proprietor of M/s Sarif Khan and in pursuance thereof, forged 7 cheques by inflating the amount & changing the names of the payee of the cheques, causing loss of Rs 36.49 Lakh to government exchequer.

After investigation, charge sheet was filed against the said two accused. The Trial Court found both the accused guilty and convicted them.
