On second day of the fourth test between India and England at Narendra Modi stadium Rishabh Pant, the swaggering left-handed wicket-keeper batsman, shattered his first Test century on home soil after already making two centuries in England and Australia. Pant, who came in at 80/4, established valuable partnerships with Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Washington Sundar as he guided India through turbulent waters to smooth sailing. Pant, who was ultimately dismissed for 101 by James Anderson, played a key role in India’s dominance in the day’s final session. By the time Pant returned, India’s lead had grown to more than 50 runs.

Washington Sundar, the all rounder from Chennai has also played crucial half century while securing a partnership with pant.

India bowled out England team on the first day of the test match for a score 205, where Axar Patel got 4 wickets and Ashwin and Mohd. Siraj also three and two batsmen respectively.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s drought for an international century continues in the fourth test as well when he just like opener Shubman Gill was dismissed on a duck.

In the ongoing fourth Test against India, England pacer James Anderson has set a new record.

The legendary bowler has now taken 900 international wickets, including the critical wicket of Ajinkya Rahane in the first session of Day 2.Anderson required two wickets to break the milestone, and he had already taken out Shubman Gill.
