Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced the reopening of Schools and Colleges as the COVID-19 numbers in the state, see a significant downfall. Schools in Madhya Pradesh will begin for classes 11 and 12 from July 25 at 50% capacity, whereas colleges would begin from August 1, also at 50% capacity.

CM Shivraj said the classes will be held on alternate days for each batch of students. One batch of students will attend classes on the first day and another one the next day. Chief Minister has also announced that if there is no third wave till August 15, it is then a decision will be taken to reopen schools for smaller classes as well.

Mr. Chouhan made this announcement while dedicating a building of Vidya Bharati, a wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), to the people in Bhopal.Madhya Pradesh has been seeing a drastically low number of COVID-19 cases. Recently the state witnessed about 20 cases only per day.
