Congress president Rahul Gandhi has routinely used “Chowkidar Chor Hai” (Watchman is the thief) slogans in political rallies against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party has also been asking the center to provide the nation with a clean chit on Rafale deal.

Rahul Gandhi last week said that the PM and Anil Ambani have “stolen Rs 30,000 crore from the pilots of IAF, from the pockets of the pilots who bombed Pakistan (at Balakot).”

“PM Ambani Ka Chowkidar Hai Desh Ka Nahi” (PM is the watchman of Anil Ambani, not of the nation), said Mr. Gandhi further dissing the BJP and PM Modi.

He also reiterated that the question of corruption in the deal was “crystal clear.”

With only 23 days left for the Lok Sabha elections, BJP has further geared up for the democratic race. Last week, several Union Ministers along with PM and BJP president Amit Shah added a prefix of ‘Chowkidar’ to their Twitter handles after party’s official YouTube channel released the song “Main Bhi Chowkidar,” which focuses on the prime message of the political campaign. Other politicians and followers of the party, too joined in following the trail.

The battle of Twitter handles became stronger on Tuesday morning wherein the kids can be seen sloganeering “Main Bhi Chowkidar” (I too am a watchman), in solidarity with PM Modi.
