Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said that as per the election programme of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, 74 candidates are finally left in fray after completion of the process of withdrawal of nomination papers filed for the fourth phase.

On Monday, the last day for withdrawal of nomination papers, 16 candidates withdrew their nomination papers.

Rajan told that 8 candidates remain in fray in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency number-21 Dewas (SC), 9 candidates in number-22 Ujjain (SC), 8 candidates in number-23 Mandsaur, 12 candidates in number-24 Ratlam (SC), 7 candidates in number 25 Dhar (ST), 14 candidates in number 26 Indore, 5 candidates in number 27 Khargone (ST) and 11 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 28 Khandwa.

Voting for the fourth phase will be held on Monday 13 May. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.

It may be noted that on April 29, 1 candidate has withdrawn his nomination papers in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency number-21 Dewas (SC), 1 candidate in number-24 Ratlam (ST), 1 candidate in number-25 Dhar (ST), 9 candidates in number-26 Indore, 1 candidate in No. 27 Khargone (ST) and 3 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 28 Khandwa.
