A 600 MW Capacity Unit of Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project created a record by generating electricity continuously for 150 days

A power generating unit -1 of 600 Megawatt installed capacity of state government owned Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project Dongalia (Khandwa) in Madhya Pradesh has created a new record of generating continuous power for 150 days on Monday.

State Energy Minister of Madhya Pradesh Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Energy department principal secretary Sanjay Dubey and MP Power Generating Company managing director Manjit Singh have acknowledged the hard work of the engineers for continuous efforts in power generating round the clock for 150 days in this unit.

The unit -1 of Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project Dongalia is generating electricity uninterrupted since October 19, 2021 till today, the official note said.

The Plant Load Factor (PLF) of the unit stood at 70.4 per cent during this period.

The Shri Singaji Thermal Power Project has installed capacity of 2520 Megawatt (MW) including two units of 600 MW each in phase-I and two units of 600 MW each in phase II.

It may be mentioned that this unit of Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project became functional on 1st February 2014. In spite of acute shortage of coal in Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project Dongalia, continuous power generation is being done uninterruptedly.
