Bengaluru: In the Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament, the difference of victory in the match between Baroda and Assam on Friday made a new record in the history of Indian domestic cricket. In this match, Baroda defeated Assam by great number of runs of 279. In the history of India’s domestic cricket, a team has not won a match in such a big difference from any team.

In this match, Baroda scored a century by Aditya Waghmode and a half century by Kedarni Deodhar and a partnership of 165 runs for the first wicket between both of them in the match against Assam Group A in the Vijay Hazare Trophy by 279 runs. Baroda (20 points, five wins) and Karnataka (18 points, four wins) from Group-A have qualified for the knockout. After getting the batting invitation, Baroda set a huge score of 378 runs for seven wickets in 50 overs. Wagmode played a superb innings of 128 runs in 128 balls with 148 fours and four sixes. Deodhar also scored 61 runs from eight fours in 65 balls.
