Mumbai, Maharashtra: Bollywood queen Deepika Padukone has donned the hat of an “investor”. Padukone also happens to be the owner of successful fashion company ‘All About You’ with Myntra.

Deepika Padukone, a model, actor and entrepreneur turned an “investor” earlier this week, funded an undisclosed sum of money to Drum Foods International – the company behind the popular yogurt brand Epigamia.

As per reports, Epigamia plans to accelerate its growth. The company says that the company will now expand its distribution to 50,000 outlets in over 25 cities with Padukone given funds.

The 11-year old company sells greek yogurt and smoothies. Drums Food was founded by Rohan Mirchandani, chef Ganesh Krishnamurthy, Rahul Jain, and Uday Thakkar in 2008 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Padukone’s investment is part of ‘Series C’ which happens to be a the successful chunk of Epigamia’s business as in the month of January, it raised over $25 million. Danone Manifesto Ventures had made the investment raising the company’s net worth.

However, according to reports, Padukone has made investments in Indian markets earlier as well. The actor’s family office ‘KA enterprise’, had earlier invested in the furniture rental company ‘Furlenco’ and beauty marketplace ‘Purplle’.
