Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav asked the officers concerned to chalk out a roadmap to ensure better medical facilities in districts and development blocks by integrating the health department, medical education, AYUSH institutions and private hospitals. An action plan should also be made for filling the posts of doctors and paramedical staff.

Medical colleges and Ayurvedic colleges should also be given targets to improve the health indices.

These institutions should contribute to improving health indices where private institutions are setting up their colleges.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is our endeavor to develop one medical college in 29 Lok Sabha constituencies.

Every district will have a medical college.

By establishing an ideal health care system, Madhya Pradesh will set the best example in the country.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing a review meeting of Public Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Department.

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Narendra Shivaji Patel, Chief Secretary Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and other senior officials were present.

A presentation was given on the ongoing activities and upcoming plans under public health and family welfare and medical education.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is necessary to ensure that the facilities being provided to the general public are available to them without any difficulty.

The health care system in district hospitals and primary health centres must be streamlined.

He stressed the need to form flying squads to inspect health institutions.

He said that efforts should be made to continuously encourage the staff to be attentive and dedicate themselves to the service of the people.

The paramedical staff, doctors and health institutions working efficiently must get reward and honnour.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that arrangements should be made to ensure health facilities to elderly people or those living alone in case of emergency. He stressed the need to install Cathlab in division and district government hospitals.

Issues related to National Health Mission, hospital buildings, available human resources, important health programs, services operated on PPP mode in hospitals, Ayushman Bharat, PM-JAY, medical colleges and nursing colleges and expansion of MBBS curriculum in Hindi were discussed.
