On Monday, the Delhi Police released a Look-out-Circular (LoC) for Sushil Kumar, a two-time Olympic medalist who has been accused in the murder of a 23-year-old former junior national champion in North West Delhi’s Chhatrasal Stadium.

During a brawl in the Stadium’s parking lot, Sagar Dhankad was battered to death. Kumar has been charged with robbery, kidnapping, and criminal conspiracy.

Following the incident, Sushil travelled to Haridwar and then Rishikesh, according to reports. In Haridwar, he lived at an ashram. He later returned to Delhi and is now based in Haryana, changing locations on a regular basis.

Sushil Kumar was allegedly present at the scene when the incident occurred, according to the plaintiffs. According to the victims’ accounts, Sushil and his friends kidnapped Sagar from his Model Town home to teach him a lesson for badmouthing him in front of other wrestlers.

According to the police, the brawl took place in the parking lot between Kumar, Ajay, Prince, Sonu, Sagar, Amit, and others. Following that, police at Model Town police station filed a complaint under applicable parts of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act, according to a statement.

All five cars, as well as the crime scene, were examined. During the inspection, one Scorpio was discovered with a double barrel loaded pistol and five live rounds, as well as two wooden sticks.

All five offensive vehicles and guns were confiscated. “Forensic experts from FSL, Rohini examined the crime scene further,” said Guriqbal Singh Sidhu, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest).

During the inquiry, information about Sagar’s death and Sonu’s injury was obtained from the Civil Lines Trauma Centre, and sections 302, 365, and 120B of the IPC were reported, he said.

Sushil also serves as the President of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), which recently made headlines for all the wrong reasons. He said that the SGFI secretary faked his signature to amend the organization’s bylaws and committed other irregularities.

In December of last year, he filed a FIR against the secretary, and in March, he was re-elected President of the body after new polls were held under the direction of the Sports Ministry.
