Entertainer and Member of Parliament Hema Malini and executive of the Central Board of Film Certification Prasoon Joshi have been named film characters of the year for the International Film Festival of India, the service of data and broadcasting said on Thursday. The celebration will be held from November 20-28 in a mixture design.

“I’m pleased to declare the names of Ms. Hema Malini, Actor, Member of Parliament from Mathura, UP and Mr. Prasoon Joshi, Lyricist and Chairperson, CBFC as the Indian Film Personality of the Year 2021. Their commitments to the field of Indian film is spread over many years and their group of work has excited crowds across ages. They are Indian artistic symbols who are appreciated and regarded the world over. They will be given this honor at the 52nd International Film Festival of India in Goa,” Union minster for I&B Anurag Thakur said.

Hema Malini is an entertainer, author, chief, maker, artist and lawmaker. She made her acting presentation in 1963 with the Tamil film Idhu Sathiyam and later on, entered Hindi film as the lead entertainer of Sapno Ka Saudagar in 1968. From that point forward, she has acted in more than 150 movies like Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta, Satte pe Satta and Baghban among numerous others.

From 2003-2009, Hema Malini filled in as a Member of Parliament to the Rajya Sabha, in the wake of being named by the then President of India. In the 2014 General Election, Hema Malini was chosen as a Member of Parliament from Mathura voting demographic. She is additionally the beneficiary of a few honors, including the fourth most noteworthy regular citizen honor, the Padma Shri.

Joshi is an artist, essayist, lyricist, screenplay author and specialized trained professional. He distributed his first book of writing and verse at 17 years old. Presently, he is the executive Asia and CEO of McCann World Group India.
